Hasdell blasts Ilyoukline

In the first round Hasdell was dominating with strikes. Ilyoukline appeared to be in trouble. Then the bell went early, "it rang about three minutes into a five minute round. I thought I'd won it, my corner thought I'd won it, we didn't understand what was going on.....then the bell went for round two."

"Mikail tried to submit me with his famous archilles lock, but I wouldn't tap. I don't know why, but I've got very strong archilles tendons. I just smiled back at the audience"

Again Lee dominated the round, this time much of it on the ground, and again he thought he'd won it.

In Extra time, Ilyoukline went all out for submissions but Hasdell got out of them until the Russian managed to get the mount and ground and pound. Points decision to Mikhail.

"Although I lost I'm quite happy, Mikhail's a really tough fighter, he beat Vovchanchin and Randy Couture, but he couldn't beat me standing up and he couldn't tap me"

Rumour has it that because of his fine showing Lee Hasdell has been approached by WEF to fight a BIG NAME. More news as soon as we get it!
