Phil Baroni Interview

You can say everything about Phil "The People Champ" Baroni, oh yes he talks a lot, he could be too confident, but I think that he’s a great guy, i ask him this interview and whitin few hours i’ve got it. He’s a great athlete and a future star of our wonderful sport.

SFUK Italia : Could you tell us about your background ?

Phil Baroni: my background in order is wrestling, boxing, kickboxing , jui jitsu

SFUK Italia : How did you get started in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) ?

Phil Baroni: I finished college and wanted to still compete. MMA is the perfect sport for me. Im made for it.

SFUK Italia : When did you have your first MMA fight?

Phil Baroni: summer of 2000 I KO'ed a UFC alternate in my first UFC fight

SFUK Italia : How did you feel entering the UFC for the first time?

Phil Baroni: I was excited to enter the UFC my first time . I was ready . It was just another fight for me

SFUK Italia : What do you think about your next opponent Matt Lindland ?

Phil Baroni: Matt is a great wrestler and ranked 2nd in MMA at my weight . Im gonna KO him and take his spot.

SFUK Italia : How do you prepare for this match, what kind of training ?

Phil Baroni: Im doing nothing diferent for him than i usually do.He has to try and stop me

SFUK Italia : What’s your thoughts about Zuffa and UFC ?

Phil Baroni : ZUFFA is doing a great job promoting the sport. There is not much to say there getting the job done and then some.

SFUK Italia : What do you think about the future of MMA ?

Phil Baroni: Thanks to ZUFFA the future of MMA looks bright. I just hope a small show dosent ruin it for us by having mismatches and getting guys hurt

SFUK Italia : What plans do you have for your future, I mean after UFC 34 ?

Phil Baroni: My future is the middle weight title . I will be the best 185 MMA in the world

SFUK Italia : Do you have anything to say to your italian and european fans?

Phil Baroni: I’ll represent my Italian heritage. Ill make them proud and give them some one to cheer for and relate to
