2h2h chuck liddel interview : SFUK's mixed martial arts reports

After the last fight someone was standing in front of the fighters hall. His face was familiar and a second later flashes are going through my mind: PRIDE 14, Guy Mezger was destroyed with four full metal jacket right hooks that made him go KO. I was standing face to face with Chuck Liddel a.k.a The Iceman. The UFC fighter was here at the show because he is training in Holland at the moment. A big guy when it comes to MMA and we sure would like to see him fight at 2H2H!

SFUK Holland :What do you think of the shows tonight?

Chuck Liddel : It was a good show, some real exciting fights tonight and I had fun. Especially Gilbert Yvel was good tonight. I know Gilbert personally so that makes it even more interesting.

SFUK Holland :What is your opinion about the ground rule here in Holland?

Chuck Liddel : Well, it’s a bit different, a bit weird for me. I understand the rule, but it makes the stand up fight a little bit more exciting I think.

SFUK Holland :How is your career going at the UFC?

Chuck Liddel : It is going real good. I was supposed to fight Vitor Belfort in the next show in may, I was replaced for Tito Ortiz. But I heard all kind of rumours over here that it wouldn’t continue.

SFUK Holland :He is going to play in Big Brother Brazil or something isn’t he?

Chuck Liddel : Yes I believe so.

SFUK Holland :Are you going to fight in the UFC in May?

Chuck Liddel : Yes that is for sure.

SFUK Holland :Who?

Chuck Liddel : That is not for sure yet. There looking for a descent opponent right now.

SFUK Holland :Who would you like to fight in the future?

Chuck Liddel : Anybody actually. Wanderlei, Vitor it doesn’t matter.

SFUK Holland :Did PRIDE gave you a new contract?

Chuck Liddel : No, I fight at the UFC mostly, so they have to work it out with them.

SFUK Holland :So you cant fight in PRIDE now?

Chuck Liddel : Not without negotiations no.

SFUK Holland :What do you think of the fighters in Holland?

Chuck Liddel : I like them, they are good strikers and exciting.

SFUK Holland :What about the ground fighters like heavyweights like Remco Pardoel and Heath Herring?

Chuck Liddel : Oh they're good. Yes, it is just that across the border there are more ground fighters. But they are getting there for sure.

SFUK Holland : Any words for the fans?

Chuck Liddel : keep watching us and we try to keep the fights exciting!.
