is a man with a mission. His mission is to provide the UK’s MMA and
BJJ scene with some of the best training gear and sponsorship and to make his
mark on the MMA/BJJ scene both here in the UK and abroad. Working from his
premises in Dagenham, Essex, Andy runs a full time martial arts shop and also
shares the premises with Gracie Barra brown belt Marc Walder, who teaches there
through the week. This partnership came into being after Marc returned from
the US as a blue belt under Royce Gracie and started to teach jiu jitsu.
Andy, with a ten year training background in Combat Jiu Jitsu, started to train
with Marc and between the two of them they combined two separate businesses in
one shop. Andy spends almost every weekend at either BJJ or MMA events,
setting up a huge stall packed full of goodies and the company is now in its fourth
year of trading. Speaking to Andy about the future of Evolution and the
shop (Fit to Fight) he remains confident that the brand of Evolution Fightwear
and the shop will be around for many years to come. With big events such
as the Gracie Invitational and Extreme Brawl continuing to grow and expand into
2005, and the most vital ingredients, the fighters themselves, honing their deadly
skills in UK events and looking to expand abroad, the future looks bright for
