Ultimate
Training For the Ultimate Warrior
by
Ross Enamait "I
am fed up with fitness gurus who market expensive products as panaceas to strength
and conditioning. These individuals deceive athletes to invest hundreds, if not
thousands, of dollars on worthless training equipment...." Ross Enamait -
Introduction Hooooray.
Enamait sets his stall out early. To create "an intense training system
designed to improve functional strength amd muscular endurance" - all
done spending as little money as possible. Mr.
Cunningham You
won't need expensive kettlebells,
clubbells or fancy ab machines, you won't even need a barbell
or dumbells - instead you'll be
able to cobble up everything from your garage, garden shed or local hardware store.
The equipment Enamait recommends are: Jump
rope - Sandbag
- Ross shows how to make your own - cheap.
- Sledgehammer.
- Wheelbarrow
- Sled
- an old tyre will do.
- Rucksack
- filled with weights or sandbags.
- Medicine
Ball - again, you could replace with sandbags.
- Sledgehammer
or Axe + Log
- A
car - for pushing!
- Chin

- A
bit of old rope.

Enamait's mission is to educate the reader in GPP - General Physical Preparation.
This is whole-body conditioning that Enamait believes is the foundation for any
athletes. You're about to get stronger, more explosive, have more endurance -
both aerobic and anaerobic, better coordination and flexibility. From
the equipment list above, you can pretty much guess what the training consists
of. Strength?
- Use sandbags + weighted callisthenics. Conditioning?
(which Ross clearly differentiates from strength) - Ross gives you bodyweight
exercises. Sled drags, sled pulls, wheelbarrow walks, sledgehammer drills...more. - Aerobic
Endurance? - Loads of running advice and programs.
All
this is wrapped with clear explanations on why Ross recommends each exercise.
You are not required to follow any exercise with blind faith. Enamait arms you
with knowledge. Hype
free. - Hard
training using easy-to-find, cheap 'equipment'.
- Huge
amount of info, covering a myriad of topics.
- Easy
to read. Simple to understand.
- Loads
of routines.
- Free
extra advice via email or Ross' forum.
Chachi As
with his other books, Ross provides additional backup via email or his forum.
If you have any questions, he'll answer them. And it won't cost you a penny. Happy
Days With
this book, Enamait provides you with an enormous volume of training material
to work with. As well as following Ross' advice and routines literally, you will
be inspired to improvise, explore and invent your own exercises with household
objects ;). If
anything, the Ultimate Training For The Ultimate Warrior is even better than his
Underground Warrior Fitness book
and that's saying a whole lot.
