FCF Rashguard

After
using fight gear that was well below my expectations I decided to try the gear
used by fighters I look up to in the UFC. I hoped that fighters such as those
from the Miletich camp werent just wearing the Full Contact Fighter (FCF)
shorts because it swelled their bank balance. Im glad to say that the fighters
have not sold out and the equipment they wear in the Octagon performs well in
and out of competition. Currently in my collection of FCF gear are the Competition
Seamless Shorts and Rash Guard.
First
Impressions
My first impression
can be summed up with one word, Quality. The rashguard looked to be extremely
well made, the material is thick and strong and the all-important seams are more
than up to the job. Without being a needlecraft expert I cannot really quantify
the type of seams but they are a work of art. No amount of pulling or stretching
will make them give or tear which can happen with cheaper rash guards, if FCF
made a straight jacket then Im sure these seams would keep the most disturbed
individuals restrained.
Practicality
After
more than six months of heavy use under the gi, in no gi training and as a second
skin whilst running the FCF rashguard is acquitting itself very well. The only
sign of wear is a few threads from the ends of one of the seams. However these
dont seem to have any effect on the vest as a whole and it just appears
to be from the way the machinist finished off the seam. Other than that the rashguard
appears as new and I certainly recommend it to anyone else.
The
vest I have is plain black as that was all that was available in my size when
I ordered. However I am led to believe that the FCF rash guards have the FCF logo
incorporated into the fabric so you wont have to put up with them peeling
off after the first session as happens with a lot of other rash guards.
In
summary this is a very well made rashguard, it performs well in and out of the
gym. There are cheaper rash guards about but they soon look worn out whilst this
one continues to look and feel brand new.
They
can be ordered from www.fullcontactfighter.com
for a cost of $39.95 + shipping and the rashguard also arrived within about three
days of ordering. As a bonus you also get the latest copy of Full Contact Fighter
with your order.
